Rawalpindi, December 22, 2025: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), on Monday met Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, to congratulate them on their historic triumph in the Asia Cup Men’s U-19 2025, according to an ISPR statement.
During the meeting, the Field Marshal commended the players, team management, and officials for their discipline, teamwork, and fighting spirit, describing the victory as a matter of great pride for the nation. He lauded the young cricketers’ dedication and hard work, highlighting that their achievement reflects the immense talent and potential of Pakistan’s youth.
Field Marshal Munir encouraged the players to maintain high standards of professionalism, continue striving for excellence, and serve as ambassadors of the country on and off the field. He emphasised that the nation’s youth are its cornerstone, whose energy, talent, and character will shape Pakistan’s progress and global standing.
Reaffirming his commitment to empowering young Pakistanis, the COAS stressed the importance of discipline, integrity, and dedication in achieving personal and national success.
