Beijing, January 3, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Beijing on Saturday evening to begin his official visit to China.

Upon arrival at the airport, he was received by China’s Special Representative on Afghanistan, Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, and senior officials of the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing.

During his visit, the deputy prime minister will co-chair the seventh round of the Pakistan–China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Sunday. The dialogue will focus on reviewing bilateral cooperation and advancing the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries.

Mr. Dar will also attend events marking the commencement of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. Both sides are expected to launch a series of initiatives and commemorative activities throughout 2026 to celebrate the milestone.
