Ishaq Dar, Myanmar FM discuss bilateral ties in phone call

Islamabad, January 6, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with Myanmar’s Foreign Minister, U Than Swe, during which they reviewed the current state of bilateral relations.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the existing level of cooperation and agreed to maintain close communication in the future on issues of mutual interest as well as regional developments.

The two foreign ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral engagement through continued dialogue and coordination.
