Pakistan, Maldives pledge to further strengthen bilateral ties at OIC meeting

Jeddah, January 11, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Maldivian Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel on the sidelines of the 22nd Extraordinary Session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah.

During the meeting, the two leaders expressed satisfaction with the friendly and cooperative relations between Pakistan and the Maldives and underscored their shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.

They reaffirmed the importance of continued engagement and collaboration to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
