Islamabad, January 18, 2026: A parliamentary delegation led by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will visit the People’s Republic of China from January 19 to January 21, 2026, on the special invitation of Chairman of the National People’s Congress (NPC) of China, Zhao Leji.

The visit marks the first state-level and maiden official visit of the Pakistani Parliament in 2026 to China. It also coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, a milestone symbolizing the enduring and time-tested friendship between the two countries.

To commemorate this historic occasion, Pakistan and China have agreed to celebrate the anniversary in a meaningful manner by organizing a series of joint events throughout the year. During the visit, the parliamentary delegation will hold meetings with China’s parliamentary and political leadership, with a focus on strengthening parliamentary cooperation and further deepening bilateral relations.

The Pakistani parliamentary delegation includes Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Ms. Romina Khurshid Alam; Convenor of the Pakistan–China Parliamentary Friendship Group and MNA Muhammad Numan; Parliamentary Secretary Ms. Zeb Jaffar; and MNA Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidery.

The visit is expected to further reinforce strategic partnership and mutual understanding between Pakistan and China, particularly through enhanced parliamentary exchanges and cooperation.
