Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia visits Moscow Polytechnic University to promote academic cooperation

Islamabad, February 4, 2026: Ambassador of Pakistan to the Russian Federation, Mr. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, visited the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education “Moscow Polytechnic University,” where he met Vice-Rector for International Affairs Yulia Davydova and her team to discuss avenues for enhanced academic collaboration.

During the meeting, Ambassador Tirmizi reaffirmed his commitment to increasing scholarship opportunities for Pakistani students in Russia and emphasized the importance of strengthening ties through academia, culture, business, and people-to-people contacts. He noted that such initiatives would further enhance political and governmental relations between the two friendly countries.

The ambassador also interacted with Pakistani students enrolled at the university, engaging in a frank discussion and addressing their issues and queries.

As part of his visit, Ambassador Tirmizi toured the university’s automobile showrooms and laboratories, where students design and manufacture cars, showcasing the institution’s practical and technological capabilities.

The visit concluded with an invitation for Ambassador Tirmizi to deliver a lecture at Moscow Polytechnic University, reflecting the growing academic engagement between Pakistan and Russia.
