Mogadishu, February 6, 2026: The Federal Government of Somalia has expressed deep solidarity with the Government and people of Pakistan following a deadly explosion near an Imam Bargah during Friday prayers in the Tarlai area of Shehzad Town, on the outskirts of Islamabad.
The blast claimed at least 31 lives and left 169 others injured, prompting widespread condemnation from the international community.
In an official statement, Somalia extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wished a swift and full recovery to those injured. The government strongly denounced acts of violence targeting civilians and places of worship, describing such attacks as unacceptable.
Reaffirming its support, Somalia pledged continued solidarity with Pakistan in its efforts to safeguard peace, security, and social harmony.
