Rawalpindi, February 13, 2026: The newly commissioned, state-of-the-art Pakistan Navy Ship KHAIBAR, during its maiden voyage from Türkiye to Pakistan, visited Aksaz Naval Base and took part in Exercise TURGUTREIS-XIII as well as joint patrols with the Turkish Navy, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Friday.

During the port visit, the Commanding Officer of PNS KHAIBAR called on the Turkish Southern Sea Area Commander to discuss strengthening bilateral naval cooperation and promoting regional stability through collaborative efforts. Later, the Southern Sea Area Commander, Commander of Aksaz Naval Base, and other senior Turkish naval officers toured PNS KHAIBAR.

The ship subsequently participated in the bilateral exercise TURGUTREIS-XIII alongside the Turkish naval vessel TCG HEYBELIADA and a TNF SH-70 helicopter. The exercise included a variety of sea evolutions aimed at rehearsing joint maritime operations and enhancing interoperability. Following the exercise, PNS KHAIBAR and TCG HEYBELIADA conducted a Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.

The successful completion of Exercise TURGUTREIS-XIII and the coordinated patrol underscores the enduring strategic partnership and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, reflecting their commitment to regional security and naval cooperation.
