Islamabad, February 13, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired the second meeting of the Advisory Board for the Centre of Excellence for Autism.
During the meeting, the DPM/FM expressed satisfaction with the progress made in identifying the location and planning of state-of-the-art facilities for the centre. He emphasized the importance of delivering high-quality services, employing trained professionals, designing specialized infrastructure, and adopting international best practices to provide world-class rehabilitation, education, therapeutic services, and research for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Education, Special Secretary Finance, and officials from the Health, Education, and other relevant ministries, highlighting a coordinated government effort to advance autism care and support services in the country.
