Islamabad, February 19,2026: Advisor to Chairman Senate Ms. Misbah Khar, held a significant meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan, Dr. Irfan Naziroglu, at the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkey, with particular emphasis on enhancing trade and investment cooperation. The prevailing regional situation and matters of mutual interest were also discussed in detail.

Ms. Misbah Khar appreciated the Ambassador’s proactive role in further strengthening the longstanding, historic, and brotherly ties between the two countries. She underscored that Pakistan and Turkey enjoy exemplary relations rooted in shared history, cultural affinity, and mutual trust, which provide a strong foundation for expanding economic collaboration.

Highlighting the immense untapped potential in bilateral trade, she stressed the need for concrete measures to boost trade volumes, facilitate business-to-business linkages, and promote joint ventures in priority sectors. She emphasized enhanced cooperation in trade, investment, information technology, infrastructure development, energy, and defense production, noting that stronger economic engagement would bring tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries.

 She remarked that increased people-to-people contacts and parliamentary exchanges would further solidify economic and strategic partnerships.

The Turkish Ambassador reaffirmed his commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation and expanding economic ties. He expressed optimism that trade and investment relations between Pakistan and Turkey would continue to grow in the coming years. He also conveyed his best wishes to Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and congratulated Ms. Misbah Khar on the successful organization of the ISC Conference in Pakistan.

Both sides agreed to work closely to enhance trade and investment for the shared prosperity of the two nations and reiterated their resolve to elevate Pakistan-Turkey relations to new heights through sustained economic collaboration and strategic partnership.
