Islamabad, March 2, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a phone conversation with Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative and Vice President, to discuss recent developments in Iran and the broader Middle East.
During the call, both leaders expressed deep concern over escalating regional tensions and emphasized the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and de-escalation.
Senator Dar also briefed the EU official on the evolving situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan, highlighting Islamabad’s efforts to maintain stability in the region. He appreciated the EU’s constructive engagement and continued support.
Both sides agreed to maintain close contact to monitor the evolving situation and coordinate efforts toward regional peace and security.
