Islamabad, March 12, 2026: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi to exchange views on the evolving situation in the Middle East and the wider region.

During the call, Dar appreciated Oman’s constructive and principled role in promoting dialogue and de-escalation amid rising regional tensions. He also expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the government and people of Oman in light of the recent attacks on the country.

The deputy prime minister underscored Pakistan’s call for restraint, immediate de-escalation, and a return to diplomacy to prevent further escalation in the region.

Reaffirming Islamabad’s stance, Dar said Pakistan would continue to support all efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting lasting peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond.
