Islamabad, March 16, 2026: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday strongly condemned a firing incident at a Coast Guards check post in Gwadar, paying tribute to two personnel who embraced martyrdom in the attack.

According to a statement, the minister honoured Coast Guards personnel Saleem and Adnan for sacrificing their lives while performing their duties.

Naqvi expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for their strength and patience in the difficult time.

He also directed authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment for injured soldier Azeem, who was wounded in the attack.

The interior minister said the Coast Guards personnel thwarted the “nefarious designs” of terrorists through their courage and sacrifice. He emphasised that the sacrifices of the security personnel would not go in vain.

Naqvi further assured that the government stands firmly with the families of the martyrs and will ensure they receive full support and care.
