Islamabad, March 17, 2026: Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, chaired a high-level meeting on petroleum to review the country’s fuel stock position and supply situation.
During the meeting, the deputy prime minister expressed satisfaction over current fuel stock levels and directed all relevant authorities to maintain strict oversight of supply chains to ensure uninterrupted availability and safeguard consumer interests.
He further instructed the Ministry of Petroleum and other concerned departments to closely monitor market trends and strengthen coordination mechanisms to maintain stability in fuel supply across the country.
The meeting was attended by the federal ministers for petroleum, climate change, information and broadcasting, and IT and telecommunication, along with secretaries of petroleum and IT, and other senior officials from relevant ministries and departments.
The review comes amid heightened global energy concerns, with the government aiming to ensure domestic market stability and avoid disruptions in fuel availability.
