Islamabad, April 9, 2026: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Bakhtiyor Saidov to discuss the evolving situation in the Middle East and broader regional developments.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders exchanged views on ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.
During the discussion, Foreign Minister Saidov appreciated Pakistan’s leadership and conveyed Uzbekistan’s full support for initiatives undertaken by Pakistan to advance regional peace. He particularly acknowledged Pakistan’s role in securing the initial two-week ceasefire through sustained diplomatic engagement.
Both sides expressed optimism that continued dialogue and cooperation would contribute to lasting peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond. They reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination on issues of mutual interest.
