Côte d’Ivoire, April 10, 2026: Pakistan women’s football team forward Nadia Khan has become the national team’s all-time leading goal scorer after netting a record-breaking goal against Turks and Caicos Islands in the FIFA Series 2026.
The landmark goal came in the 57th minute of Pakistan’s dominant 8–0 victory, allowing Nadia Khan to surpass former captain and long-time record holder Hajra Khan in the all-time international scoring chart.
Hajra Khan, a pioneering figure in Pakistan women’s football, previously held the record and has been widely credited for laying the foundation of the sport’s growth in the country.
The match marked a historic night for Pakistan as the team registered its biggest-ever international win, surpassing the previous record of a 7–0 victory against Maldives in 2022. It was also Pakistan’s first-ever appearance in a FIFA-organised event.
Pakistan delivered a commanding all-round performance, scoring eight goals in a match that reflected both attacking depth and growing confidence on the international stage. Alongside Nadia Khan, Zahmena Malik, Mariam Mahmood, and Isra Khan each scored once, while Aqsa Mushtaq and Layla Banaras added two goals apiece.
The emphatic result provides Pakistan with a strong start to the tournament, boosting morale as the squad aims to make a deeper impact in the competition.
Pakistan will next face Mauritania on April 12, before taking on hosts Côte d’Ivoire on April 16 in their final group-stage fixture.
