Chairman Senate congratulates Pakistan Women’s Football team on FIFA series 2026 triumph

Islamabad, April 11,2026: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has warmly congratulated the Pakistan Women’s National Football Team on their outstanding performance in the FIFA Series 2026, terming their success a proud moment for the nation.

In a statement issued by the Senate Secretariat’s Media Directorate, the Chairman Senate said the team’s remarkable achievement has brought global recognition to Pakistan and showcased the immense potential of the country’s women athletes on the international stage.

He highlighted the emphatic 8–0 victory as a clear testament to the dedication, hard work, and exceptional talent of the national players. Gilani noted that the team displayed outstanding skill and exemplary sportsmanship, further elevating Pakistan’s standing in international football.

Emphasizing the broader significance of the achievement, the Chairman Senate remarked that the increasing participation and success of Pakistani women in sports are highly encouraging and reflect positive social and institutional progress in the country. He stressed that promoting women’s sports and nurturing young talent are essential for the sustained development of sports in Pakistan.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani expressed confidence that the success in the FIFA Series 2026 would serve as a springboard for greater accomplishments in the future, opening new avenues for women in sports.

He added that the entire nation takes pride in the achievements of its daughters and extended his best wishes to the team for a bright and successful future.
