Islamabad, April 13, 2026: The Embassy of the Philippines in Pakistan, led by Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez, held a coordination meeting with the Emergency Services Department of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to enhance fire safety and emergency preparedness at the Embassy.
Accompanying the Ambassador were Embassy officials Mr. Christian Glenn B. Baggas (Administrative Officer), Mr. Richelle Carlo L. Villaflor (Property Officer), and Mr. Bakhtawar Shah (Property Assistant). The CDA delegation was represented by Director Muhammad Ahsan and Assistant Director Tariq Masood.
Discussions focused on strengthening the Embassy’s readiness to respond to emergencies, particularly fire-related incidents. Both sides explored measures to improve safety protocols and ensure swift and effective coordination during crises.
A key outcome of the meeting was the scheduling of a comprehensive fire safety inspection on April 22, 2026. The assessment will evaluate the Embassy’s entry and exit points, as well as the availability and accessibility of fire hydrants and water sources.
The initiative will be followed by fire evacuation drills aimed at enhancing awareness and ensuring preparedness among Embassy personnel.
Officials noted that the collaboration underscores the Philippine Embassy’s commitment to maintaining a secure environment and upholding the highest standards of safety and emergency preparedness through close coordination with local authorities.
