Islamabad, April 14, 2026: Pakistan and Qatar have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation in education and skills development, with a focus on empowering youth and fostering knowledge-based growth.
Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Wajiha Qamar met with Qatar’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Ali Al Khater, at the Embassy of Qatar in Islamabad to explore avenues for collaboration in the education sector.
During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities to strengthen partnerships in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), expand student and academic exchange programmes, and create new scholarship opportunities for Pakistani students.
The discussion also emphasized the importance of equipping youth with market-relevant skills to meet global workforce demands. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to fostering institutional linkages and promoting capacity-building initiatives aimed at developing a skilled and competitive workforce.
The engagement reflects the shared vision of Pakistan and Qatar to deepen cooperation in human capital development and strengthen people-to-people ties.
