NA Speaker condoles demise of former MNA Mir Ahmed Nawaz Khan

Islamabad, April 14, 2026: Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq visited the residence of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chief Whip Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani in Jacobabad to offer condolences on the demise of his father, former Member of the National Assembly Mir Ahmed Nawaz Khan.

According to a press release issued by the National Assembly Secretariat’s Directorate General of Media, the late Mir Ahmed Nawaz Khan—popularly known as Mir Babul Khan Jakhrani—was remembered as a respected and dignified figure who rendered valuable political and social services. The Speaker paid rich tribute to his longstanding contributions to public service, stating that his legacy would be remembered for years to come.

During the visit, Ayaz Sadiq expressed profound sorrow over the loss and extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family. He remarked that parents are among the greatest blessings of Almighty Allah and their passing is an irreparable tragedy and a deeply emotional moment in one’s life.

The Speaker conveyed his sincere condolences to Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani and his family. He also offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the deceased the highest ranks in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and to bestow patience and fortitude upon the grieving family.
