Islamabad, April 19, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Abbas Araghchi on Sunday, with both leaders underscoring the importance of dialogue to address ongoing regional challenges.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar emphasized the need for continued engagement and diplomatic efforts to resolve current issues at the earliest, in order to promote peace and stability in the region and beyond.
The two foreign ministers agreed to remain in close contact and coordinate on evolving developments. They also concurred on facilitating a telephonic interaction later in the day between the President of Iran and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The development reflects ongoing diplomatic outreach between Islamabad and Tehran amid efforts to maintain regional stability through dialogue and cooperation.
