Washington, November 7, 2024-President-elect Donald Trump’s team is evaluating possible dates for his visit to Washington, DC, to meet with President Joe Biden. A US based TV channel reports that the meeting could occur as early as next week, ahead of Biden’s upcoming foreign trip.

President Biden is scheduled to depart Washington on November 14 for a weeklong tour of South America, where he will participate in summits with Asia-Pacific leaders and the Group of 20 (G20) nations. His itinerary includes stops in Peru, Brazil, and the Amazon rainforest.

Sources indicate that Biden’s engagements with key allies and potential sideline meetings with adversaries could be influenced by discussions with Trump, as they may provide insights into Trump’s anticipated approach to international relationships during his second term.

Trump’s team is reportedly aiming for an early meeting to allow Biden ample time to factor in any implications for U.S. foreign policy before he departs.
