Islamabad, April 29, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, during which both sides discussed the evolving regional situation.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders exchanged views on matters of mutual concern and ongoing regional developments.
The British Foreign Secretary appreciated Pakistan’s sustained efforts for peace and stability in the region, acknowledging its continued diplomatic engagement aimed at de-escalation and dialogue.
During the call, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting dialogue, diplomacy, and constructive engagement between relevant parties, the statement added.
Both sides agreed to remain in close contact as part of ongoing consultations on regional and international developments.
