New York, May 28,2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla on the sidelines of the United Nations Security Council Open Debate in New York.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed regional developments and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Cuba.
Both sides also explored new avenues of mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at enhancing ties between the two countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar recalled with gratitude Cuba’s support to Pakistan during the devastating 2005 earthquake, while Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla appreciated Pakistan’s solidarity and assistance during natural disasters faced by Cuba.
The two leaders reiterated their shared commitment to expanding cooperation and deepening relations for the mutual benefit of the people of both countries.
