Islamabad, June 1,2026: The Philippine Embassy in Islamabad warmly welcomed Ms. Clarence G. Ong as the Embassy’s new Communications and Records Officer following her arrival in Pakistan the other day.
Ms. Ong will also serve as Protocol Officer and Secretary to the Ambassador, helping strengthen the Embassy’s operations amid increasing demands and staffing constraints.
Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez and the Embassy Team formally welcomed Ms. Ong after the Eid ul Adha holidays and wished her well on her new assignment.
Her immediate assumption of duty—despite the personal sacrifice of temporarily leaving behind her spouse and children in the Philippines pending visa processing—reflects the dedication and quiet resilience of Philippine foreign service personnel serving abroad.
The Philippine Embassy looks forward to Ms. Ong’s valuable contributions as Post continues to advance Philippine diplomacy, public service, and people-to-people engagement in Pakistan.
