Islamabad, June 8,2026: Uzbekistan Ambassador. Alisher Taukhtaev met with Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan.
During our meeting, we held comprehensive discussions on joint initiatives in the fields of film, television, digital media, and mass communications. Particular attention was given to the production of historical and documentary films, the organization of press tours, the exchange of professional experience among journalists, and the further strengthening of cooperation between the leading media institutions of our two countries.
I am especially pleased that we expressed our readiness to begin cooperation on a film dedicated to our great ancestor, Zahir-ud-Din Muhammad Babur. His life, rich legacy, and outstanding contribution to world civilization constitute an important part of the shared history of Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
We also reached an agreement to organize visits to Uzbekistan for prominent Pakistani bloggers, journalists, and representatives of leading television networks, enabling millions of people in Pakistan to gain a deeper understanding of New Uzbekistan, its investment potential, rich cultural heritage, and remarkable tourism opportunities.
Our nations are united not only by a common history and spiritual heritage, but also by a shared aspiration for progress, development, and the strengthening of friendship between our peoples. Today, we are building the future together through culture, education, media, and direct people-to-people engagement.
I am confident that these new joint initiatives will further strengthen the bonds of friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Pakistan and open new avenues of cooperation between Central and South Asia.
