Islamabad, June 9, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday received Italian Ambassador Marilina Armellin on a farewell call and appreciated her contributions to strengthening relations between Pakistan and Italy during her tenure.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senator Dar congratulated Ambassador Armellin on the successful completion of her assignment in Pakistan and acknowledged her efforts in enhancing bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the steady growth in Pakistan-Italy relations, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, education, and labour mobility. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further expanding and deepening cooperation with Italy in the years ahead.
Ambassador Armellin thanked Senator Dar for the support and cooperation extended to her during her stay in Pakistan and expressed satisfaction over the progress achieved in bilateral relations during her tenure.
The two sides also exchanged views on the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Italy ties and the importance of maintaining momentum in mutually beneficial areas of cooperation.
Senator Dar extended his best wishes to Ambassador Armellin for her future endeavours and expressed confidence that the strong partnership between Pakistan and Italy would continue to flourish.
