Swiss FM appreciates Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in promoting regional stability

Islamabad, June 12, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis on Friday evening to discuss the evolving regional situation and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability.

According to the Foreign Office, the two leaders exchanged views on recent regional developments and welcomed the encouraging progress toward an understanding between the United States and Iran.

During the conversation, Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis appreciated Pakistan’s leading role in facilitating diplomatic engagement and acknowledged its efforts in advancing initiatives aimed at fostering peace, dialogue, and regional stability.

Both leaders underscored the importance of continued diplomacy and constructive engagement in addressing regional challenges and promoting lasting peace.

The two sides also agreed to remain in close contact and continue consultations on future developments of mutual interest.

The discussion reflects the growing diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Switzerland on regional and international issues, as well as their shared commitment to peaceful conflict resolution through dialogue and cooperation.
