Islamabad, June 14,2026: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan on Sunday met former federal minister and senior Balochistan politician Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch and discussed the province’s political, social and economic situation, along with key development challenges and opportunities.

During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on issues affecting Balochistan and emphasized the need for sustainable development, improved infrastructure, and enhanced public services, particularly in the sectors of education, healthcare and social welfare.

They also discussed measures to create employment opportunities for young people, promote vocational and technical training, and encourage greater youth participation in national development.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan said Balochistan occupies a pivotal position in Pakistan’s progress and prosperity due to its abundant natural resources, strategic geographical location and talented youth.

He stressed that addressing the longstanding challenges faced by the people of Balochistan, ensuring the provision of essential services, and expediting development projects should remain among the state’s foremost priorities.

Syedal Khan further emphasized that local communities should receive a greater share of the benefits generated by the province’s resources, adding that accelerated development efforts would significantly improve living standards across Balochistan. He noted that sustainable peace, social harmony and economic stability could only be achieved through collective efforts by all stakeholders.

Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch shared his perspectives on the political landscape, socio-economic challenges and ongoing development initiatives in the province. He highlighted the importance of public welfare, youth empowerment, job creation and development-oriented policies to address the needs of the people.

Both leaders agreed on the need for coordinated efforts to promote Balochistan’s development, strengthen national cohesion and improve the well-being of its residents.
