Tajikistan Ambassador visits the College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM)

Islamabad, June 16,2026: The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Yusuf Sharifzoda, paid a visit to the c (COTHM).

During the visit, the Ambassador was briefed on the institution’s activities, academic programs, and its capacity for training specialists in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and hotel management.

He also commended with the college’s achievements in the development of human resources.

The Ambassador also held a meeting with the leadership of the college. During the discussion, the parties exchanged views on the development of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan, particularly in the fields of education, training of highly qualified professionals for the tourism and hospitality sectors, exchange of experience between educational institutions of the two countries, and the effective utilization of existing opportunities to strengthen cooperation.

The two sides emphasized the importance of the tourism sector as one of the key areas of economic and cultural cooperation and expressed their readiness to further expand contacts and launch joint initiatives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and tourism would continue to grow and contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations between the two brotherly countries.
