Islamabad, June 16, 2026: Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, on Tuesday held a meeting with a delegation from the Beverages Advisory Foundation (BAF) to discuss challenges facing the beverage industry and explore measures to improve the overall business environment.
During the meeting, representatives of the beverage sector briefed the coordinator on key issues affecting the industry and highlighted a range of operational and regulatory challenges confronting businesses. The delegation also expressed appreciation for the government’s engagement with stakeholders and thanked Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan for facilitating dialogue on sector-specific concerns.
The participants exchanged views on the prevailing business climate, industry constraints, and opportunities for investment and expansion. Discussions focused on improving the ease of doing business and identifying practical measures to support sustainable industrial development.
Industry representatives presented a number of proposals aimed at strengthening the sector’s contribution to economic activity, employment generation, and national growth. They emphasized the importance of a conducive policy environment to encourage investment and enhance the competitiveness of the beverage industry.
