Pakistan Awami Quwat party holds seminar on message of Karbala and social responsibilities

Islamabad, June 24, 2026: The Women’s Wing of the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party organized a seminar in connection with Muharram-ul-Haram under the special directives of party chairman Khaqan Waheed Khawaja. The event was held at the main hall of Rawal General and Dental Hospital and focused on the theme, “The Message of Karbala and Our Responsibilities.”

The ceremony was attended by party officials, members of the women’s wing, and a large number of female workers and supporters.

Secretary General of the party, Malik Ejaz Hussain, participated as the chief guest. Other prominent attendees included Media Cell In-charge Shakeel Awan, Professor Umar Hayat, Sohrab Baig, Tahir Khan, Adeeb Ahmed, Qazi Zafar, Ehtesham Ahmed, and senior journalist Aqeel Anjum.

The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Qazi Zafar, followed by a Naat presented by Faizan Abbasi. Women’s Wing President Syeda Ferdous delivered the welcome address.

Among those present were Women’s Wing General Secretary Farzana Riaz, Asma Satti, Natasha, Parveen Siddique Khawaja, Madam Samina, and numerous women activists and supporters.

Speakers highlighted the significance of the tragedy of Karbala and reflected on the teachings, sacrifice, and character of Imam Hussain. They emphasized the importance of adopting the values of truth, justice, patience, and moral courage in contemporary society.

Addressing the gathering, Malik Ejaz Hussain and other speakers stressed the need for individuals to fulfill their social and civic responsibilities while drawing inspiration from the enduring message of Karbala.

Special prayers were offered for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan, as well as for the safety and success of the country’s armed forces. Participants also prayed for the speedy recovery and good health of party chairman Khaqan Waheed Khawaja.

The seminar concluded with the distribution of Langar among participants, marking the end of the Muharram-themed gathering dedicated to reflection on the lessons and values of Karbala.
