Islamabad, July 7, 2026: Romanian Ambassador to Pakistan Dan Stoenescu held a meeting with Dr Syed Shahbaz Hussain, Director General of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, and Muhammad Rauf Raja, focal person to the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme on tourism and hospitality, to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral ties between Romania and Pakistan.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in youth engagement, education, culture, tourism and trade, while exploring new opportunities to deepen people-to-people contacts and promote greater exchanges between the two countries.
Ambassador Stoenescu also announced an upcoming visit by Dr Syed Shahbaz Hussain to Romania, where he is expected to meet Romanian authorities to explore new avenues of cooperation.
The meeting also reviewed the planned visit of another Pakistani trade delegation to Bucharest, which is expected to help expand bilateral economic relations and identify new business opportunities.
The Romanian ambassador said Romania values its longstanding partnership with Pakistan and remains committed to promoting practical initiatives that bring the two countries’ societies, institutions, businesses and young people closer together.
He said he looked forward to continuing cooperation and turning these ideas into concrete projects for the mutual benefit of both countries.
