Islamabad, November 17,2024-Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a plan to launch a large-scale protest in Islamabad on November 24, surrounding the capital from all sides as part of its new strategy.

According to media reports, PTI leadership is determined to reach Islamabad at any cost. The Islamabad and Rawalpindi regional leadership has been assigned key responsibilities for the event, while convoys from across the country will make their way to the capital with local leadership in Rawalpindi and Islamabad to lead the significant protests.

Convoys from each province have been tasked with reaching designated routes into Islamabad. Sources indicate that the nationwide protest will culminate in Islamabad, with the leadership to decide on the final location for the sit-in. PTI’s core committee has suggested staging the sit-in at D-Chowk, and the leadership has made it clear that the protest will continue indefinitely.

Party directives state that Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) and Members of Provincial Assemblies (MPAs) will bear the costs of transporting their workers to Islamabad. A collective strategy has also been developed for managing the workers upon their arrival in the capital.

Ali Amin Gandapur, a senior PTI leader, has hinted at a significant “surprise” for the federal government, claiming this protest will feature a more effective strategy compared to previous demonstrations.

In case of arrests of party leadership, PTI will implement a contingency “Plan B.” A list of alternative leaders has been prepared to take charge if key MNAs or organizers are detained.

The party remains resolute in its plans, signalling an intensified confrontation with the federal government.
