Islamabad, July 19, 2026: Thousands of football fans across Pakistan are expected to gather on Sunday night to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 final on giant screens, celebrating not only the tournament’s climax but also Pakistan’s contribution to the global sporting spectacle through the production of the official match ball.
The official FIFA World Cup 2026 match ball, Trionda, was manufactured by Forward Sports in Sialkot, the city renowned as the world’s football-making capital, producing nearly 70 percent of the world’s footballs.
Although Pakistan has never qualified for a FIFA World Cup, the tournament remains a major attraction for millions of football enthusiasts in the country, with the official match balls for four consecutive World Cups having been produced in Sialkot.
To facilitate football fans, the Islamabad administration has arranged a live screening of the World Cup final between defending champions Argentina and Spain at D-Chowk. The administration said the match will be shown on a giant screen, with the live broadcast scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. Pakistan Standard Time.
Similar public screenings have also been organized in several other cities, allowing supporters to watch the historic final together.
This marks the fourth consecutive FIFA World Cup for which Forward Sports has manufactured the tournament’s official match ball, following Brazuca (2014), Telstar 18 (2018), Al Rihla (2022) and Trionda (2026).
The final between Argentina and Spain will conclude the largest FIFA World Cup in history. By the end of the match at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, a record 104 matches will have been played over nearly six weeks across three host nations.
The expanded tournament has featured memorable upsets, dramatic comebacks, spectacular goals and outstanding performances from some of the world’s biggest football stars, culminating in a highly anticipated showdown between the defending champions and the 2010 world champions.
