Islamabad, July 20, 2026: Pakistan and Uzbekistan are set to enhance air connectivity as Centrum Air announced the launch of direct scheduled flights between Karachi and Tashkent from September 3, 2026.

According to the airline, the new service will operate twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday, bringing the people, businesses and cultures of Pakistan and Uzbekistan closer while strengthening bilateral trade, tourism, investment and cultural exchanges.

The airline said the direct route would also provide convenient onward connections through Tashkent to destinations across Central Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), offering greater travel options for passengers.

Highlighting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, Centrum Air described the country as a historic crossroads of the ancient Silk Road with a rich cultural and spiritual heritage. Travellers will have access to renowned destinations including Samarkand, Bukhara, the Centre for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent and the Imam Al-Bukhari Memorial Complex near Samarkand.

The airline said the new route is expected to facilitate business travel, leisure tourism and people-to-people contacts while creating fresh opportunities for economic cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
