Islamabad, July 28, 2026: Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan on Tuesday held talks with Mauritius High Commissioner Munsoo Kurrimbaccus to explore ways to strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting, held at Kohsar Block in Islamabad, focused on enhancing commercial relations and identifying new opportunities to expand economic engagement between Pakistan and Mauritius.
Both sides reviewed the implementation and utilisation of the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA), emphasizing the need to maximise its potential to increase bilateral trade, improve market access and generate mutual economic benefits.
The discussions also highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional cooperation and promoting greater business-to-business interaction to unlock new trade and investment opportunities.
The two sides exchanged views on the possibility of exchanging high-level delegations to further deepen economic cooperation and identify additional areas for collaboration.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to maintaining close engagement and working together to further strengthen bilateral economic and commercial relations between Pakistan and Mauritius.
