Amman, August 5, 2026: The foreign ministers of the R-4 Group comprising Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye on Wednesday reaffirmed their unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the pre-June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The ministers met in Amman to review the regional situation and discuss coordinated efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability and diplomatic engagement across the Middle East.
According to a joint statement issued after the meeting, the four countries reiterated their commitment to a just, comprehensive and lasting resolution of the Palestinian issue in accordance with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, emphasizing that a durable settlement remains essential for achieving lasting peace and security in the region.
The ministers also reviewed the evolving regional security environment and reaffirmed the importance of sustained consultation and close coordination among the four countries in addressing common challenges.
They stressed that dialogue, diplomacy and collective engagement remain the most effective means of reducing tensions, preventing further escalation and advancing regional stability.
The meeting underscored the R-4 Group’s shared commitment to strengthening diplomatic coordination and supporting efforts aimed at promoting peace, security and stability across the Middle East.
