Islamabad, August 6, 2026: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will undertake an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from August 6 to 8 to further strengthen bilateral relations, deepen strategic cooperation and discuss key regional and international developments with the Saudi leadership.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the prime minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other federal ministers.

The Foreign Office said Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will join the delegation from Madina Munawwara after concluding his visit to Jordan, where he participated in the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to hold talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The discussions will focus on further consolidating the longstanding Pakistan-Saudi Arabia partnership and exchanging views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Foreign Office said the visit reflects the deep-rooted relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, built on decades of mutual trust, close cooperation and brotherly ties.

Although taking place amid heightened tensions in the Gulf region, the visit carries significance beyond the immediate regional situation and is expected to reinforce strategic cooperation, strengthen bilateral engagement, enhance coordination on regional and global issues, and promote closer collaboration at multilateral forums.

The visit is also expected to reaffirm the commitment of both countries to expanding cooperation across political, economic, security and diplomatic spheres while maintaining close consultation on issues affecting regional peace and stability.
