Islamabad, August 7, 2026: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar called on senior Awami National Party (ANP) leader and former federal minister for railways Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour at his residence in Islamabad, where the two leaders discussed the country’s prevailing political, economic and social situation.
Senator Hidayatullah Khan accompanied the Deputy Chairman during the meeting.
According to a statement issued by the Senate Secretariat, Syedaal Khan Nasar emphasized the need for national unity, political harmony and collective efforts to address public issues and promote Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.
The Deputy Chairman paid tribute to the Bilour family’s longstanding contributions to democracy, public service and the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also appreciated the family’s role in promoting public welfare and generating employment opportunities through its business initiatives.
Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour extended his best wishes to the Deputy Chairman Senate and appreciated his services in the Upper House, acknowledging his efforts to effectively represent the people of his province.
He expressed confidence that Syedaal Khan Nasar would continue serving the country, strengthening democracy and working for the welfare of the people with dedication.
