Islamabad, August 26, 2026: The Embassy of the Philippines in Pakistan and the Al Sadat Group have explored new opportunities to strengthen Philippines-Pakistan cooperation in tourism, trade, culture and people-to-people exchanges.
Philippine Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez received a courtesy call from Syed Sadat Hussain Shah and his team from the Al Sadat Group, joined by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Rain R. Mendoza.
During the meeting, the participants discussed potential initiatives to connect tourism and business stakeholders from the two countries, promote Philippine tourism destinations and investment opportunities, and develop stronger business-to-business linkages.
The discussions also focused on possible cooperation on ASEAN-related cultural and tourism initiatives in Islamabad, including heritage visits and future arts and cultural activities.
The Philippine Embassy said it looked forward to further exploring the proposed initiatives as part of its ongoing efforts to deepen bilateral relations with Pakistan and strengthen ASEAN engagement in the country.
