Islamabad, August 27, 2026: Coordinator General of OIC-COMSTECH Prof Dr M. Iqbal Choudhary has congratulated Ismaïl Ould Cheikh Ahmed on his election as Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
In his message, Prof Dr Choudhary conveyed his best wishes to the newly elected OIC secretary-general and prayed for his success in discharging the important responsibility.
He expressed hope that under Ould Cheikh Ahmed’s leadership, the OIC would emerge as a stronger and more active organisation in promoting peace, progress and prosperity across the Muslim world.
The OIC-COMSTECH coordinator general reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to working under the guidance of the OIC leadership to advance science, technology, innovation and higher education across OIC member states.
Prof Dr Choudhary said OIC-COMSTECH looked forward to further strengthening its contribution to scientific and technological development and cooperation across the OIC region.
He also expressed confidence that closer collaboration between OIC institutions would help promote knowledge-based development and strengthen the capacity of member states in science, technology and innovation.
