Islamabad, September 5, 2026: The Embassy of Italy in Islamabad has welcomed Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s message of congratulations to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on becoming the longest continuously serving prime minister in the history of the Italian Republic.
The Italian Embassy appreciated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s commitment to further strengthening relations between Pakistan and Italy and expressed hope that bilateral cooperation would continue to expand in the years ahead.
In a statement, the embassy reaffirmed Italy’s commitment to working closely with Pakistan to further deepen and strengthen cooperation between the two countries across a range of areas of mutual interest.
