Islamabad, September 14, 2026: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday met a delegation of International Foodstuffs Company (IFFCO), led by Global Group Director Abdelghani Abdullah and IFFCO Pakistan CEO Arshaduddin Ahmed, to discuss investment expansion and business facilitation.

The meeting at the Finance Division was also attended by IFFCO Pakistan CFO Muhammad Jawad, UAE Embassy Head of Protocol Khalil Ahmed Awan and Economic Researcher Kanwal Asim.

The Finance Minister welcomed the delegation and appreciated IFFCO’s longstanding investment and contribution to Pakistan’s food and manufacturing sectors, particularly its role in supporting local employment, manufacturing and allied industries.

Abdelghani Abdullah briefed the minister on IFFCO Group’s global operations and its longstanding engagement in Pakistan. He said the UAE-headquartered multinational operates in around 50 countries, with a diversified presence in food manufacturing, edible oils and fats, confectionery, dairy, agriculture, poultry and animal nutrition.

The delegation said Pakistan remained an important market for IFFCO and reaffirmed the Group’s intention to continue investing and expanding its operations in the country.

The delegation also briefed the minister on IFFCO Pakistan’s investment footprint. The company has been operating in Pakistan since 2006 and has invested around $100 million, expanding from a single oil and fats refinery to two refineries and five manufacturing sites.

IFFCO Pakistan has also diversified into seed crushing, animal nutrition and feed mills, contributing to employment, local value addition and the broader food supply chain.

The delegation expressed interest in further expanding investment in Pakistan, citing growth potential in the domestic industrial and food sectors. It said IFFCO supplies products to major companies operating in Pakistan and sees opportunities to grow alongside its customers and the wider economy.

Senator Aurangzeb welcomed IFFCO’s interest in further investment and expansion and assured the delegation of the government’s continued support.

He emphasized the importance of facilitating existing investors and creating an ecosystem that encourages new investment, industrial growth, employment and greater value addition within the country.

The Finance Minister also appreciated the UAE Embassy’s support in strengthening economic and commercial engagement between Pakistan and the UAE. He underscored the longstanding and strategic nature of bilateral relations and expressed confidence that economic and investment cooperation would continue to deepen.

Abdelghani Abdullah appreciated the government’s support and reaffirmed IFFCO’s long-term commitment to Pakistan, expressing confidence in further strengthening the company’s operations and investment footprint in the country.
