Islamabad, September 19, 2026: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar has described Pakistan-China diplomatic relations as a remarkable story of mutual trust, respect, friendship and steadfast support, saying the 75-year relationship has evolved into a strong, stable and multifaceted partnership.

He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony organised by Diplomatic Focus to mark the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations. The event was attended by Chinese Ambassador, diplomats, parliamentarians, intellectuals, media representatives and other prominent personalities.

Syedaal Khan said the two countries had maintained continuity and stability in their relations despite changing regional and global circumstances. He noted that Pakistan and China had consistently respected each other’s sovereignty, national interests and right to development while standing together during challenging times.

The Deputy Chairman Senate highlighted significant potential for expanding cooperation in trade, investment, education, agriculture, health, science and technology, energy, infrastructure and people-to-people contacts.

He described the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a key manifestation of the bilateral partnership, saying it had opened new avenues for connectivity, infrastructure, energy and industrial cooperation.

Syedaal Khan also emphasised the importance of parliamentary and public diplomacy in further strengthening bilateral ties. He said parliamentary exchanges, along with greater interaction among the media, academia, business communities and the people of both countries, could promote mutual understanding.

Congratulating the leadership and people of China on the 75th anniversary, he expressed hope that Pakistan-China relations would continue to contribute to peace, prosperity, development and regional stability.

The Deputy Chairman Senate appreciated Diplomatic Focus, particularly its CEO Mian Fazal Elahi, for organising the event to highlight the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China and promote greater understanding between their peoples.
