Islamabad, November 26, 2024- Violent activities by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers under the guise of protests continue to disrupt the federal capital. Clashes during the demonstrations have resulted in the martyrdom of police and Rangers personnel, alongside significant damage to public property.

Videos from the protests reveal that the vandalism and arson were carried out in a pre-planned and coordinated manner. PTI workers reportedly attacked public infrastructure, causing irreparable damage. The violent actions claimed the lives of several Rangers officials, including Naik Muhammad Ramzan (47, from District Karak), Sepoy Gulfam Khan (29, from District Rawalpindi), and Sepoy Shahnawaz (33, from District Sibi). Additionally, Rangers personnel Naik Arif, Lance Naik Asif, and Sepoy Ashraf Ali sustained critical injuries.

The protests also led to the martyrdom of Punjab police officials, with approximately 119 officers injured during clashes. Twenty-two Punjab police vehicles were also damaged in the unrest. Meanwhile, 11 Islamabad police personnel have been reported seriously injured as PTI protesters continued their attacks.

Numerous videos circulating online highlight instances of arson and vandalism targeting public property, substantiating allegations of organized violence. Protesters set fires at various locations and caused extensive damage to government assets.

Law enforcement agencies have arrested several violent protesters and are rapidly working to identify others involved in these activities. Authorities have vowed to take strict legal action against those responsible for the violence, emphasizing their commitment to restoring law and order in the capital.
