Rawalpindi, October 11,2026: Maaz Sadaqat’s explosive 96 and captain Sahibzada Farhan’s second consecutive half-century powered Pakistan to 215-3 against Sri Lanka in the second T20I at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday, setting a new record for the team’s highest T20I total on home soil.
Pakistan surpassed their previous best of 208-3, recorded against the West Indies at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium in 2021.
The total also became Pakistan’s second-highest score in T20I cricket overall, falling 17 runs short of their record 232-6 against England in Nottingham in 2021.

Sadaqat spearheaded Pakistan’s batting effort with a blistering 96 off 51 deliveries, striking seven sixes and six fours. The left-hander narrowly missed his maiden T20I century but helped lay the foundation for a formidable total.
Farhan complemented the youngster’s aggressive strokeplay with 73 off 44 balls, including five sixes and four fours, registering his second successive half-century in the three-match series.
Opener Fakhar Zaman contributed 22 off 17 deliveries, hitting four boundaries, while Hasan Nawaz provided a late flourish with an unbeaten 19 off just nine balls, including one four and one six.
Pakistan went on to win the match by 82 runs, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series with the final T20I scheduled for Tuesday at the same venue.
