Islamabad, January 22, 2025: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced its decision to abstain from the fourth round of negotiations, citing the need for the formation of a judicial commission as a prerequisite.

In a statement, PTI leader Umar Ayub stressed, “The establishment of a judicial commission is essential before we proceed. Until this is done, we will not participate in the fourth round of talks.”

He further revealed that the decision aligns with the directives of PTI’s founder, who has made it clear that negotiations will hold no value unless the government forms a judicial commission.

Earlier, a sub-committee of the government’s negotiating team, led by Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, met to review PTI’s written demands in detail.

Key government representatives attending the meeting included Ishaq Dar, Naveed Qamar, Abdul Aleem Khan, Rana Sanaullah, Farooq Sattar, Ijaz-ul-Haq, Khalid Magsi, and Chaudhry Salik Hussain.
