Qila Abdullah, January 28,2025 : Security forces successfully thwarted a terrorist attack on a checkpost in Gulistan, Qila Abdullah, Balochistan, neutralizing all five terrorists, including two suicide bombers. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the incident occurred during the night of January 27-28, when terrorists launched an assault on a security checkpost. Following an exchange of fire, the attackers rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the outer wall of the checkpost.

In the fierce clash, all five terrorists, including a suicide bomber, were killed. Two soldiers embraced martyrdom while defending the post. The martyred soldiers include Naik Tahir Khan (39), hailing from Tank District, and Lance Naik Tahir Iqbal (26), from Karak District.

ISPR acknowledged their courage and sacrifice, emphasizing that such acts strengthen Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism. A clearance operation is underway in the area to ensure that any remaining threats are neutralized.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism, and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR stated.

Separate operation in Jani Khel, Bannu

Earlier on January 27, 2025, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Jani Khel area of Bannu District following reports of the presence of Khwarij (terrorists).

During the operation, troops effectively engaged the terrorists, resulting in killing of three Khwarij while nine others injured.

A sanitization operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining threats.

The ISPR reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism, emphasizing that such actions demonstrate the nation’s unwavering resolve to ensure peace and security.
