Karachi, February 15, 2025: New details have emerged in the brutal murder of Mustafa Amir, revealing that a dispute over a girl between Mustafa and the main suspect, Armagan, on New Year’s Eve ultimately led to his tragic death.

Investigators have confirmed that Mustafa was killed inside Armagan’s house using a metal rod and gunfire. Blood samples found at the crime scene matched those of Mustafa’s mother, further implicating Armagan. DNA evidence recovered from the carpet at Armagan’s residence also confirmed the presence of Mustafa’s blood.

Adding to the chilling details, an audio recording—reportedly Mustafa’s last—has surfaced. In the recording, Mustafa tells a friend that he is heading to Armagan’s house and suggests that the friend should join him later. This revelation raises questions about the police investigation, as the friend failed to report Mustafa’s last known whereabouts for over a month.

Further statements from Armagan’s associate, Shiraz, indicate that the dispute between Mustafa and Armagan escalated on New Year’s Eve. On January 6, Armagan allegedly lured Mustafa to his house under false pretenses, where he attacked and killed him. Afterward, Armagan and Shiraz transported Mustafa’s body to a remote area in Balochistan, set his car on fire, and walked for three hours before hitching a ride back to Karachi.

Investigators revealed that the girl at the center of the dispute left Pakistan for an overseas destination on January 12. Authorities are now working with Interpol to contact her, as her testimony is deemed critical to understanding the events leading to Mustafa’s murder.

Armagan and Mustafa were reportedly friends before tensions over the girl escalated into violent threats. Police sources disclosed that Armagan had previously threatened both Mustafa and the girl. On January 6, after their argument, Armagan allegedly invited Mustafa over, where the fatal assault occurred. Shiraz, who worked for Armagan, was reportedly involved in both the murder and the disposal of the body.

Despite ongoing investigations, Mustafa’s original mobile phone has not yet been recovered. Police continue to interrogate Armagan regarding the murder weapon and missing phone.

In a devastating plea, Mustafa’s mother has urged the authorities to ensure justice for her son. She claimed that Armagan confessed to a woman named Marsha Shahid about the murder and alleged that the girl involved in the dispute had manipulated Armagan into committing the crime. She has also requested permission for an exhumation of Mustafa’s body to aid further investigation.

In court, Armagan admitted to beating and killing Mustafa at his house before transporting the body to Balochistan and setting it ablaze. The Sindh High Court has extended Armagan’s remand upon a request from the Prosecutor General and scheduled the next hearing for February 17.

Meanwhile, courtroom proceedings were disrupted when Armagan’s father, Kamran Qureshi, an American citizen, attempted to confront the judge. In a heated exchange, he pushed a police officer and made disparaging remarks about law enforcement, prompting the deployment of additional police and Rangers personnel to maintain order.

The case, which began with Mustafa’s mysterious disappearance from Defence, took a grim turn when his charred remains were discovered in a burnt-out vehicle near the Hub Check Post. Authorities continue their investigation as they work to unravel the full details behind this harrowing crime.
